NorwichNorwich is a city in Norfolk, East Anglia which is in Eastern England with an estimated population of 130,000. It is the regional administrative centre and county city of Norfolk. The suburban area expands far beyond its boundary, with extensive suburban areas outside the city on the western, northern and eastern sides, including Thorpe St Andrew on the eastern side.
Norwich is well known for its medieval-style streets and buildings, green landscape and array of modern day shops and restaurants. Norwich is a popular destination for a city break; attractions include Norwich Cathedral, the cobbled streets and museums of old Norwich, The Castle, Cow Tower, Colman's Shop, Dragon Hall and The Forum. Norwich is also one of the UK's top ten shopping destinations, with a mix of chain retailers and independent stores as well as one of the largest outdoor markets in England.

Norwich Property Market
The north and west of the city is characterised by Victorian and Edwardian terraces that sell for cheaper than the south and east of the city. It is a hotspot for first time home buyers. At the east of the city there are riverside developments taking place and the pubs and clubs make it a favourite with the younger crowd. Property in this location is known to be quite expensive.
In August 2007 Norwich was shortlisted as one of nine finalists in its population group for the International Awards for Livable Communities LivCom Awards The city eventually won a silver award in the small city category.
